Among this month’s deliveries we have 16 pcs. of MV3 Side-Entry Ball Valves 18” CL. 900 FB, RTJ, Body: Low Temp CS, Trim: Duplex, c/w Rotork Electric Actuator for Transwater API for Petronas Carigali Malaysia, onshore installation at the OGT Gas Metering System Upgrade.

We have completed 8 pcs. of MV4 Twin Ball Valves 4” CL. 600 in Full Solid Stainless Steel, Metal-seated + TCC, manual operated for onshore installation in Sabah Shell in Malaysia. This is our first order for DBB (twin) ball valves for Shell. 

Twin ball valves are space and weight saving as well as cost saving (both product and installation). They are intrinsically DB&B design following all design features of the regular side-entry ball valve. They come in flanged or flangeless design in manual and / or actuated configuration. They are available for all industries and applications.

ExxonMobil has been one of the most active customers this year in Malaysia. Just in the last months, we have received orders for over 350 pieces of MV3 side-entry ball valves (Manual + ESD) for shutdown and replacement projects ranging from 2” - 10” low and high pressure up to CL. 1500 in CS/SS body with Duplex trims, soft and metal seated+TCC, o-ring & lipseal design, manual and actuated for various Brownfield projects offshore Malaysia. High pressure gas testing for all metal-seated ball valves. Valves are currently under manufacture and delivery is expected in September, October & November 2015.

We have successfully tested and passed the PR2 Qualification testing regime for the following valves to extend our API license to allow the manufacture of API 6A Ball Valves and Gate Valves.

The battery of tests involve stroke-cycling a valve approximately 200 times over a combination of the valve’s design pressure range, subzero temperatures and high temperatures. This marks the beginning of more successful tests to come as MIR VALVE expands into the wellhead valve market.
