On a recent subsea project we completed for shallow water depth, we introduced to our customer in lieu of a hyperbaric chamber test to conduct a Internal Hyperbaric chamber test, which was accepted.
MIR VALVE has engineered a way to conduct the hyperbaric testing of subsea valves without the need of a hyperbaric chamber. By building this hyperbaric test facility INTO the body and stem areas of the valve itself (illustrated left), we are able to test the valve's environmental seals, simulating subsea conditions without the use a hyperbaric chamber.
The benefits are you can test all the ball valves using this method saving time and significant cost.
